Does anyone know who Tricky Ricky from Manchester, Surname is. Our Rob  RIP used to knock about with him in the 70,-80's and he used to come over to Huddersfield.  He was a character . I Often wonder what happened to him Regards Fred

Ricky Warburton I guess Fred. Great guy, avid collector and a friend of ours as well as, I recall, Rob's. Sadly he died a few weeks ago.

Hope you and Jackie are keeping well and polishing those shoes!

Hi Rich, Glad to hear from you and who Tricky Ricky was. But sad to hear he's recently passed away. Our Rob used to pick him up and meet us in the George and Dragon in Flockton near Grange Moor Huddersfield. Ricky typically wore denim jeans and denim Jacket, also Phil haigh, Kevin (scoffer) and his wife Karen Both no longer with us R.I.P. and myself have a few drinks then on to the "Central".On one other occasion we'd been into a pub for a drink and when we got out side Ricky Produced a sword out of one of his jeans leg. I kid you not! It seems it was hanging on the wall in the pub and Ricky relieved them of it.how he did it without anyone noticing is beyond me. Those were the days. With regard to the shoes yes I still bull them up, I guess it must have rubbed off my father as he was in the army when we were really young he was in the black watch was a corporal and then became a military policeman. Jacque and I are both fine and still get out to soul nights.How are you both? Have you retired yet? I'm a resident DJ at the Leeds Central ni-monthly re-unions. With the next one being this Sunday 16th October. 2-8pm.eell have to keep in touch all the best.

Definately sounds like Ricky W. he was mates with your Rob, often went over with Kev Smith, as did I a time or two-remember Rob coming over to Prestwich a couple times as well, with Andy ??

Oh, and Rick (and I) were from SALFORD not Manchester-it matters

HI Citizen P, I'm not sure if we've met as I don't know your name. But great memories of Kev Smith a really good friend.Did You know a girl called Sharron Christie? She used to knock about with Kev Smith and me and our Rob . Rob and Andy did used to get over to Prestwich.Andy r.i.p.was an old Twisted wheeler, really nice guy sadly no longer with us. I DJ 'd a few times at Prestwich for Terry and Lynn Davies. Kev Smith used to have a white jaguar and used to frighten the shit out of us by jumping red traffic lights. Another guy used to come over from Manchester or might have been Salford.Im not sure if it was Tony Davidson? Wasn't he a jeweller? He used to have a vauxhall magnum 2300cc very fast I remember a policeman stepping out in front of us and we nearly ran over him ,he wasn't happy but the guy driving said the car was stuck in gear. So he got a bollocking from the copper and sent us on our way. I'm glad you came on here and confirm what Richy was saying. Good times which I'll never forget. Regards Fred.
