This made me smile. About 40 years ago JM used to post out list on green or blue paper, anyone remember them? Repeatedly, there was Bobby Sheen - I maybe not what you want @ £1 maybe £1.50, some bloke called Ray Pollard on Shrine @ £15 and a record by Jimmy 'Bo' Horne on Dade....... I remember thinking, there's no way I'm buying a JBH record for £40!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

Used to have that Hayes Cotton acetate, it’s a better take than the release IMHO. Bought it from Cliff Camfield around ‘92 for 110 quid. Pretty sure the biro writing on the label with Hayes name and title is Cliff’s handwriting. There’s other notes in pencil on the label which weee original studio notes “ Myles 2nd session” and “ voice background on”. Can’t beat some studio notes on a disc like that!

Sold it about 10 years ago to my mate Charlie Watson then he moved it on when he emigrated.

Someone’s made a tidy profit via JM, fair play to them.

Johnny Praye, very rare and a very good sound, so someone snagged a bargain.

Barbara and Brenda was a big surprise - what’s the story on this one?

It is her rarest recording. However, here again I prefer the beautiful stock copy.

Nevertheless, it is very rare to see both for sale

Barbara & Brenda was far too expensive.

Bout right I though Johnny Praye, about what it’s sold for privately isn’t? Think last one I saw was £800? Could’ve missed a couple?
