WTF!  I am stunned.

You have got to be on a wind up.

Whats brave enough about it.

Its not soul so why would you want to play it.

There are literally thousands of real deal soul records to play.

Just as well I put that crash helmet on. Agree it’s not soul, but at least they are decent songs. No further from soul than Helen Shapiro or Paul Anka stuff that gets played out. As I said, just asking!😂

I agree. Not soul. But well done.

No idea why you think they should be played out at NS venues?

Thanks for your measured response, Benji.
Perhaps using the word courage in my original post implied that I thought they should be played out. Actually I quite like some of the versions, but would not suggest they are appropriate fodder for a soul night. I was really just interested what the response would be if they were given a spin without any reference to their providence. I think I know now!

Time to remove the helmet and lay down my arms!😁

Sorry I posted. Promise I won’t do it again.

It’s not you I’m having a go at. I get cover versions but why do people have to think they are acceptable to play at an event?  Northern Soul is eitist and driven by the rarities and exclusivity.

Naff should be left to the muggles.
