hi all, got a copy of barbara mercer - the things we do together - gw 27

a couple of things

firstly the flip side "hungry for love" why doesnt it credit any artist/artists just says instrumental

and was it before the rit-tic release?

secondly was it common on the gw releases that artists names were pronounced different ie; on this

issue it credits barbra mercer? have also seen juanita williams - baby boy, as anita williams

anyone shed any light on this please

I have always assumed that the Golden World release was first.

I base this on the ZTSC number -

Golden World GW-27b ZTSC-104378 - Barbra Mercer GW-27a - ZTSC-104377

Ric-Tic RT-104 ZTSC-104458 - It sits between the two Golden World Releases.

Golden World GW-28a ZTSC-104471 - GW-28b ZTSC-104377

The Later Vocal Golden World GW-41 Tony Michaels - ZTSC-107588

I guess that the "Instrumental" was a session, before they named themselves "San Remo Golden Strings"

San romeo strings & Barbara Mercer were both released in 1965 if thats any help dont know which month though, Ime sure there a way of dating the 45s from the matrix Nos ive seen it some were on a web site but cant remember which one,
