macca Posted February 18, 2007 Posted February 18, 2007 does anyone remember where this was first spun & who by? a mate of mine thinks it's a late wigan thing. after repeated listenings, I think it's one of those soulful garage things, though I don't find it very soulful myself, I'd call it 'atmospheric'.

Martint Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 great record, very messy but in an exciting kind of way, reminds me of thee midnighters - love special delivery (which is even messier )
Rich Buckley Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 Don't some of the 45s have a picture sleeve?? Or was it a different release/LP that had one? Be great if someone could post one up.... Rich
macca Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 if anyone out there has the picture sleeve of this record, I'd appreciate it if they could upload a scan of it. that way, the soul policeman inside of me can start negotiations with my alter ego for when it eventually turns up from the states.

Guest in town Mikey Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 What an absolute mess of a record that is, horrible. Lost in translation? Surely what you mean is it is a ####ing superb stomping slab of Northern Soul. Just about as good a dancer as it gets.
Platters 81 Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 that manic trumpet break does me in everytime.......

There are 2 seperate issues of this. The first release was withdrawn because of the credits, not sure of the exact details. Second release has ammended credits & has a very tiny tiny difference in the colour of the label. I have mentioned this before to people & they look at me in bemusement, but it was Danny Huff that turned up quantity of the second issue about 10 yrs ago. I remember talking to him about them when he returned from the US with them in his sticky mitt. Can someone please confirm this for me, as Im beggining to think I must have dreamt it all ????. Russ
