Weird coincidence or? 1
laparis Posted June 21, 2022 Author Posted June 21, 2022 Wow yes it is.I think it’s more worth than that to my opinion according to the sound.I guess because it is pretty obscure and unknown so they don’t know how to price it.But even 600$ for a G copy isn’t necessarily cheap either! 1
Chalky Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Northern stomper? Here is a sound clip... https://recordsbymail.com/search/Nimo king?fbclid=IwAR3eam1IRGbWwONrZMoG53NYMZKiBnLQPjcQWDzmbSwfTuxLF2Cq5p_A23k 2

Mrtag Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 A Real chugger (pardon the pun) a bit C & W 'ish but ok! a side nice Too.
Sebastian Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Both sides were also recorded by Johnny Otis on King. O-Cal was Johnny Otis publishing company. Both sides penned by Johnny Otis and Nehemia King. Nehemia King must be Nimo King. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VF405dFmTN8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7-185DuQTY 2
Sebastian Posted June 21, 2022 Posted June 21, 2022 Have added it to Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/release/23645975-Nimo-King-And-The-Wildsiders-Im-Leavin-You-Somebody-Call-The-Station 1

Popular Post Shinehead Posted June 22, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 22, 2022 If I had bought that blind cheap years ago it would have gone straight in the bin . No Soul in there at all and even Northern soul with its rich diversity of sounds played I am sure any DJ who found a copy would have ditched without even a try to break it . 9
Paraboliccurve Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 I would have thought this would be of interest only to label/composer/producer completists? I can't imagine anyone dancing to it. For obvious reasons, there can't be many more unknowns out there after fifty years of the world's most trainspottery obsessives looking, and especially so since the true value of the records became known to any American with an internet connection; I'd think there's probably a fair bit lingering still on the B sides of obscure and semi-obscure 45s though (though obviously those wouldn't be unknown). 1
Wheelsville1 Posted June 24, 2022 Posted June 24, 2022 This is horrendous,it sounds like they are trying to copy the beatles in a bad way. 3
