Pete S Posted February 16, 2007 Author Posted February 16, 2007 Well there are at least two within ten miles of you because I've got one as well. I've got another one somewhere - compilation of the first two lp's...tell you what the real rare one would be though Dave, kent did one specially for the NME back in the mid 80's, probably not many of those about
Dave Rimmer Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Just for interest, here's the other Kent cassette which was given away with NME
Supercorsa Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I had a Kent tape that came free with NME (or some other music mag, memory not what it was), about the same time as a free punk tape. The names I think were Kent A Gogo & Punk A Gogo, again not too sure was back in the 80's. I remember the kent tape had Marvelows, Your Little Sister, on it. Lent the tapes to a mate never to see them again , ever since I won't lend any record to anybody.
Supercorsa Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Just for interest, here's the other Kent cassette which was given away with NME You beat me to it and I stand corrected on the name.
Pete S Posted February 16, 2007 Author Posted February 16, 2007 Just as a side note, after the Kent/NME tape came out, some nob wrote to the NME saying the usual, all the tracks sound the same, calling us Northern vikings and all this crap, so I actually wrote a letter to the NME in defence, and they printed it! My one and only letter in a music paper.

Sebastian Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Not a tape, but found these pins in the record store I work part-time in. Don't know when they were sent out, but they've been laying around there for quite some time.
Ady Croasdell Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I meant the article not a Devo smiley
Pete S Posted February 16, 2007 Author Posted February 16, 2007 I meant the article not a Devo smiley The chances of me being able to locate a 5cm square piece of paper cut from a newspaper 21 years ago are about as likely as you throwing a banquet in my honour

There are some cringe-inducing press releases and sleevenotes from those days too.
