Great fun, I got that very copy of The Lovers on Frantic he played about a year later from him

I ended up with a couple of his records, one being Flame & King, just my luck I ebayed it before it got revived and it went for like £18 or something like that. Some good stuff on that tape though Dave, shame the Casino sounds empty

Pete

Thanks for this. I can't seem to download the file properly - apparently I have a codec missing. Did you compress the file with anything odd?

Sorry if that seems a stupid question - I ain't great on IT.

It's just an mp3 mate, did you try playing it and not downloading it, if you see what I mean?

Yep Pete, it was me.

Paid 20 pounds all together. Six months later it was 200. One of only a few ocassions I was luck, but it brightened my day.

Well good luck to you. Won it fair and square.

Pete that's absolutely tremendous to listen to, thanks for sharing it. Some on the scene would be anal about it and keep it all for them very-selves and no one else can listen to it so there ner ner ner ner ner.

I never went to Wigan, got to admit sometimes it wears a little thin when folk reminisce (thats not how you spell it is it? - oh well) about 'the old days', particularly when there's still so much happening now. But without doubt this kind of recording is part of OUR history and heritage. It deserves total respect. And I thought it was fantastic to hear.

Cheers m8, nice 1. And i'm not one for saying that lightly.

Than ks Steve and thanks to everyone else who's, er, said thanks. It's nothing, honestly, I mean that. I recorded something like 40 tapes at Wigan, I ended up with about 15 after lending them out, then I met a mate who used to go up with us and he had actually got some of mine, plus ones he did himself (the Searling ones). I've swapped with people here and there and probably have about 70 or 80 tapes now, but Mark Freeman took on the mantle and he has more than me now, though I stopped ages ago. I'm happy to put all of them up. I've also a few from other venues, Peterboro, Blackpool Mecca, Cats, Shotts, anyone interested I will try and find them, I know I only have one box in the house, the rest must be either in the loft or in the garage.
