stomper45 Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 One on ebay for UK 20k (US$ 32K) now https://cgi.ebay.com/NORTHERN-SOUL-RARE-SOUL-MODERN-SOUL-MOTOWN-CROSSOVER_W0QQitemZ110636344931QQcategoryZ27349QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286.m7QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D1%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D6942443565593498842
Harrogatesoul Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Thats an 'advert' listing for other 45s.. Was going to say 20k is a bit too steep...!
Guest Bearsy Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 I`ll make love to you every day kin awsome tune and some
Harrogatesoul Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Great price, i'll have 5 copies please What does it go for these days? Only 1 copy listed on Popsike at $5k..
Corbett80 Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 (edited) Thought £2 - £3 was about right? Might be wrong however. Be funny if a load pop out of the woodwork once the US sellers spot the £20k 'advert' listing! Edited February 8, 2011 by corbett80
Harrogatesoul Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Cheers for that. For a moment I thought I was mis-interpretting your sarcasm Are there many copiesa round or have been aruond? Safely tucked away in collections? Until the lotto numbers come in have to make do with that Soul Cal re-issue
Sutty Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 U know this was reissued on 1 one-sided 12", officially I believe, a couple of years back, should you want to entertain yourself with it at home and still have change for a new car https://www.discogs.com/Mixed-Feelings-Sha-La-La/release/1591229 cheers Sutty
Marc Forrest Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 (edited) One on ebay for UK 20k (US$ 32K) now https://cgi.ebay.com/...443565593498842 seller usually knows his stuff...so maybe a typo and he wanted to say 2000 UKP / 3200 USD...which would be about a alright if not even a slight "bargain". Dont feel too comfortably using the word bargain at a 2/3 k price tag at all though LOL ! Edited February 8, 2011 by Marc Forrest
NEV Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Thought £2 - £3 was about right? Might be wrong however. Be funny if a load pop out of the woodwork once the US sellers spot the £20k 'advert' listing! Loving this topic and i very much doubt its a typo..more like a publicity stunt cos i very much doubt Lee or Steve would have put " make me an offer" under £2000 I would wager the 45 is'nt even for sale ,well not unless someone is crazy enough to pay that amount . Hardly any description apart from a website plug which is against the rules of ebay unless im mistaken ??? Wonder how much a issue copy is worth then ??

Hardly any description apart from a website plug which is against the rules of ebay unless im mistaken ??? Wonder how much a issue copy is worth then ?? Spot on Nev. Sure if it was for sale it would be on their own website & also on here & the other forums by now via a link. Suprised it took you so long to get the pic of your issue up Must admit though it is rather nice
Dylan Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 not realy a record for at home though is it ? sounds good in a venue. can think of 2 or 3 other 45s on the label i'd rather spend my money on.
Chalky Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Wonder how much a issue copy is worth then ?? I would have though as much as a demo seeing as both damn rare and so indemand. If someone wants either enough they will pay through nose.
Steve G Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Mine is an issue. I gather there were a few around in the mid 70s at £1.50. But goodness knows what happened to them. I don't remember seeig it then. It never comes up for sale and is still popular on the dancefloors.
Sutty Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 not realy a record for at home though is it ? sounds good in a venue. Unless you actually live in a venue, pretty pointlesss buying it then anyway! lol Sounds fine round my house, I might play it in a minute
Russ Vickers Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 F*ck me Paul, sat here in Baghdad right down in the dumps & that has made me piss miself, made my day mate . Best Russ
Mal C Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Mr Sutton, good day... Play it and try to imagine what it feels like to live in a venue... Mal.C.
Ernie Andrews Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 (edited) Just another example of a dealer taking the piss - also prices on other items they have is bollocks as well! When is the TNJs worth 80 quid? Sorry but you have to laugh at those prices from the people who want to buy for peanuts but sell for the price of gold Edited February 9, 2011 by Ernie Andrews

Chalky Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 So true some prices even on here are ficking piss taking wouldnt it be great if soulsource had its own realistic price guide Rght im off Kieran thats why I keep asking sellers to leave the price on items they sell, easy to search and get a recent selling/listing price.
Sutty Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 (edited) F*ck me Paul, sat here in Baghdad right down in the dumps & that has made me piss miself, made my day mate . Best Russ Hi Russ, glad you are well, take care buddy Mr Sutton, good day... Play it and try to imagine what it feels like to live in a venue... Mal.C. Good day to you to Mal, long time no see! And to Eddie (hi to you too m8 and also long time no see) who started the thread and asked for an MP3, I assume you don't own an original 45 and thought you might like to know you can pick up a legitimate re-release for peanuts and listen to the record at your leisure. It's well mastered, nice loud cut, and not a bootleg, but that was never the attempt. Anyone attempting to pass off a one-sided 12" of a track as an original 7" would have to think the buyer was pretty gullible really, but then again, some of the sights i've seen at all-nighters in the past, I reckon it might just get past one or two people out there if you hit them at the right time of night... cheers Sutty Edited February 9, 2011 by Sutty
