In absence of a 'Boogie Tunes Price Guide' it doesn't appear to appear anywhere, Si. Like all records, it's worth what you'd pay for it, I guess. I personally just spent a ton on a record that likewise doesn't appear in any price guides - I guess that technically means its 'book value' is now £100.00, but I wouldn't expect anyone else to pay that for it, and thus I wouldn't tell anyone else who asked that it's 'worth a onner' if they asked for a valuation. ...Oops, I appear to have digressed, sorry... TONE
Guest Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Gotcha Tone. I agree...a record is 'worth' what someone will pay for it.
Guest MARTIN SNOW Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Assuming the 45 is only around 3 to 4 minutes approximately (?), then only a fool would want to pay more than a few quid to own it. The 12" version is essential for this song with its long intro and break, 7.04 vocal side with a 5.20 instrumental flip. Its written by the late Wayne Brathwaite, the outstanding session bassist whose death seems a mystery as ive yet to find a cause mentioned anywhere on the net. I sell the US Vanguard 12" at £15-20, and wouldnt stock the 45 full stop, no one would buy it !
