I'm sure this is very old news but what's the score regarding Ric Tic 102 being the release number given both to Joyce Webb and Freddie Gorman?

Hi Denbo, Without wishing to get into the realms of total "anorakism", but also as a Ric-Tic/Golden World completist, noted that Joyce Webb Ric-Tic 102 has also GW 1004 on the label, and Barbara DeCosta as Ric-Tic 103 also has GW1005 on the label, and furthermore the initial Golden World numbers are Willie Kindrick GW 1A/B, and Sue Perrin GW B1/B2, and the

Golden World release of the Adorables GW5........ I hopethat helps somewhat............I'll now get my coat......

They may well have GW matrix numbers(?) on the labels but the Joyce Webb is a Ric Tic Records release, as is the Freddie Gorman.

  The reason there are 2 102's is because there were 2 separate runs of Ric Tic- the 1st in 1962, and then when the label was restarted in 1964-  Joyce Webb is the "Pick Hit" for the week and is listed between #20 and #21-

It is a Golden World Recording, the early Ric Tic tie in with the GW numbering system. The later Rics Tics used the Columbia and RCA  master number, ZTSC etc.

Other groups of labels also utilised one numbering system across the label and subsidiaries.
