Happy Feet Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 Hi Paul -S , sorry my referral to Once Upon A Time in Wigan , wasn't to determine the fact it was live or soundtrack but mainly the fact it was a piece of work ,I'm sure aimed at the followers of the scene through the ages , correct me if not , and I thoroughly enjoyed the production when I saw it at the Coventry Belgrade. ,What I was making the point of was that in Theatre land they have been enjoying this particular style of music and rightly so and to full houses , and the audience didn't attend because it was labelled as anything more than nostalgia , and a good nights entertainment ok maybe Motown , Shirelles , Wilson Pickett etc , but I was making the point not to confuse and call it the Northern Soul Scene .
Mssoulie Posted May 7, 2022 Posted May 7, 2022 For the crowd that want to have a go at that Northern Soul thing that happened at Wigan Pier years ago, Then let them have it. Me... I still miss Sheridans, Bidds, Keele etc etc etc........ Hugh 1
