This is like a little time snapshot of a spot in Wigan Casino! I remember them all being played there at some point or other.

"Friday Night" by Johnny Taylor used to sound truly awesome in there!!!

Did know all but one track from the track listing and went on Youtube to play Robert Knight - Branded. What an awful record, I desperately need something to rinse my ears now. Was this really played?

First time I heard "Branded" by Robert Knight was upstairs at Blackpool Mecca.  It was not played very often.

Back in those busy 1970's days there were so many records being discovered every week it was hard to sort out all the good from the bad.  You were constantly bombarded with new records and not in the luxury of your own home.

It's easy now with hindsight and lots of time to see things in perspective, to judge these records with a very critical view.  Not one of my favorites, but all part of discovering new sounds and sorting it all out.
