Guest Posted April 2, 2022 Posted April 2, 2022 (edited) I've been sorting out some old cassettes. One or two do not have their listings anymore. There's a version of Jackie Wilson's 'I Don't Want To Lose You' (Brunswick). It's a very danceable sound so I suspect someone on here will know this version. Here's Jackie's version which is tops. Guest Posted April 2, 2022 Posted April 2, 2022 Thanks. This is very nice but I don't think this is the version on the tape. The tape cut has very prominent brass and a trumpet towards the end of the track. It has a Latin feel.
Guest Posted April 2, 2022 Posted April 2, 2022 (edited) Hi John, Yes - that's the one - Ever Green blues. However I feel this might be a different version. Thanks so much and to those who also looked. I see this is an LP only cut. I assume you have it then? Edited April 2, 2022 by Dukeburgundy
Guest Posted April 2, 2022 Posted April 2, 2022 This appears to be a different version by the same group.
Johndelve Posted April 2, 2022 Posted April 2, 2022 No, don't have it, just did a discogs search... Cheers!
Mick Holdsworth Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 The first cliip by Evergreen Blues in stereo and feels like it has little to no percussion, even though it is there. My own copy was exactly like this (UK Mercury). The next clip is Mono (US Promo was Mono), which gives it a better feel.
