Jaco Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Nothing controversial, no mind blowing, previously unknown information, no nirvana moment. Just the realisation that a record that I have not heard for 30 years or so, until yesterday - "Nothing worse than being alone" - can still produce that spine tingling, hairs on the back of the neck stuff. Magnificent.
arnie j Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 great tune indeed mate, johnny my boy on blue cat is one of my all time faves
Julianb Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 This was the first ever 'cover-up' I can remember. Dave Godin gave it to John Bollen/Franny Francisco to get played around West Yorkshire at clubs like Lord Jims, Hernies, Victory Lounge, The Wellington etc. As you say, spine tingling music. Now to soul club to give it a listen! Julian

Magnificent. Another magnificent record of theirs - 'New York in the dark'. Heard this out for the first time in 20 odd years at the recent Cleethorpes shindig. Memories indeed Edited February 14, 2007 by Rich
