Nothing controversial, no mind blowing, previously unknown information, no nirvana moment.

Just the realisation that a record that I have not heard for 30 years or so, until yesterday - "Nothing worse than being alone" - can still produce that spine tingling, hairs on the back of the neck stuff.

Magnificent.

great tune indeed mate, johnny my boy on blue cat is one of my all time faves

This was the first ever 'cover-up' I can remember.

Dave Godin gave it to John Bollen/Franny Francisco to get played around West Yorkshire at clubs like Lord Jims, Hernies, Victory Lounge, The Wellington etc.

As you say, spine tingling music. Now to soul club to give it a listen!

Another magnificent record of theirs - 'New York in the dark'.

Heard this out for the first time in 20 odd years at the recent Cleethorpes shindig. Memories indeed thumbsup.gif

Probably about the same time last year, i had the same feeling with the same record.

Also recently had the same feeling with The Toys - I got my heart set on you
