This is - I mean - in just under 2 years the second Lemons record.
You can recognize it on his Insta account. (Late last year) Other records from this video have also been auctioned or are still online (Ray Hines, Chuck Cockerham).
I'd be interested to know if this slew of records that will likely be auctioned off (in their entirety) are from his private collection? Can anyone find out?

Ps. Sorry back in 2012.

Reading that thread now reminded me how it went round in circles a bit but hasnt that 10 years flown by. It does appear that there 2 years between the recordings.. then jack up and left for L.A. taking a load of master tapes with him and remixed/reissued  a few things and put them out again

Yes Dave,Lorraine was very upset when she found out that Jack had done this without her consent.

ye i remember it well chris.

And Ady told me that Jack's memory was not so good when I asked about it all, bit murky and muddy waters and J.R. Bailey LP was on MAM in 1974 so I have no idea why John is ignoring the connection

Surely the MAM label ( which was formed in the U.K ) that put out the J R Bailey LP and the U.S. label that put out the Eddie Parker are entirely different labels...not only do they look completely different but they just don't feel related to me....

And this was here too which includes the MAM reference that John has dismissed, it must be all Melton "Pork Pies" then

Without going through all this, what is JM ignoring?

That Lorraine (RIP) knew nothing of these releases and Jack seems to have little memory of them and if I have got that wrong then I apologise

He does state Lorraine wasn't involved in the label and he's selling a record though not doing an in-depth piece.  I don't see what he has done wrong by not mentioning everything?  He isn't incorrect in anything he has written.

Thanks for this, which does seem to suggest that I got it wrong and there IS a link between the two MAM labels, but it still is all a bit odd... the UK single gives 'music direction' credits to one Laurie Holloway, a British guy with very 'straight' pop credentials  (but no songwriting credits) whereas the US version gives songwriting credits to Lorraine Chandler and Jack Ashford on one copy I have seen and Magnificent Montague and Jack Ashford on another.......
