I'd still rather have the points in the bag but the City/Liverpool clash to come could be massive.  City just need to learn that all out attack, and forgetting degence, for the whole game isn't always the best way to win a game.

interesting article

Very interesting that Mike. I think a couple of German clubs are virtually ran by the"fans". There is a lot of talk at my own club Leicester that for all our recent success, that we are losing our working class roots and atmosphere to a much more sanitized orchestrated " American sporting dayout that many diehards fervently dislike. Don't know about other clubs but there certainly at premier League level seems to be a mindset of changing the match going support from the traditional working man to the more affluent middle class family type who are going to spend plenty in the club shop. Football in this country is at a crossroads and not for the better in my opinion. I long for the old days when we were crap but it felt like my club. Anyway many probably think success is worth selling your grandmother for. Cheers.

I think it proves the"big6"is actually 3 and that might become 2 soon, depends on Chelsea new owners!

In terms of the teams absolutely.

An interesting summer ahead, re Chelsea's new owners, how many players leave and what will their buying power look like.  Also if Man U are outside of the top 4, can they attract their main targets.

Add in Newcastle looking to upscale, the top 4/6 becomes just as hard as this year.  Arsenal will need to buy as not being in Europe this year has helped them.

Will Conte stay?

Will my team West Ham lose Rice and Bowen.  If so will need at least 5 new players, hard to get exactly what they require, especially as last Summer's buys all look poor now.

Not surprised by the Wales result they always seem to rise to the occasion .

Shame that Bales career has stalled at Madrid and seems to have wasted years there .maybe the body is not up to the cut and thrust of domestic football bit he sure turns up and turns it on for Wales.

What happened to Italy Euro win to World Cup humiliation on less than two years

Arguably the best footballer these islands have produced since prime gazza.🤔

Possibly but Gazza seemed more in love with the game playing through with his injury problems and personal problems too .

Who knows what went wrong at Madrid he had a great couple of years then it seemed to go awry .

Thought he might have flourished at Spurs but the Special One seemed to not fancy him.so that went not to plan .

bit of an enjoyable night

Extremely Happy with the outcome, albeit I was beginning to think we were going to rue the missed opportunities following their goal......Onto the play-off final, Scotland or "The Rest of the World" (If Ukraine overcome Scotland in the delayed play-off semi??? Tough one to call regardless!

Probably not the rest of the world.... Russia China and north Korea would be fully behind you.🤔 In all seriousness sentiment shouldn't matter and the best team on the occasion should go through.

I just hope it's Wales then, as I was only 4 when we last qualified for the World Cup Finals, so didn't know a lot about it at the time🙃

For what it's worth, my gut feeling is Wales will do it.
