Zanetti Posted December 15, 2021 Author Posted December 15, 2021 Crystal Clear - 362£ John Bowie - 909£
Zanetti Posted December 15, 2021 Author Posted December 15, 2021 Johnny Sayles - 415£ Maxine Brown - 251£ Leon Gardner - 868£
Zanetti Posted December 15, 2021 Author Posted December 15, 2021 Leadell Brown - 1 5 9 8 £ Wow ... Leadell is really going through the roof. I have made 2 years ago a real bargain (VG++ 500€!) But , I can understand it, the disc is really damn awesome and dirty. In the early 2000s, it was also once at the current price, but fell in recent years actually more and more on the 500 / 600£ mark.
Tomangoes Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Ballads.....nice but was a soul pack filler from soul bowl. John Bowie...what a tune. Agents...massive back in the day, pure NS. Is that Bobby Sheen cheap? Thanks for posting. Ed 2
Ageing Face Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Interesting to see that Doni Burdick went for £200 less this time than the same record a couple of months ago. Proves the point several people have been making that when two people get the moment and don’t want to lose 2

Ed Ed, i thought it was too dear even at £189.. really common record mint or not.. great as both sides are i thought £150 tops
Weingarden Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Two bidders were fighting it out on Leadell well past the original cutoff time, leapfrogging each other again and again. Maybe they should have just agreed to a timeshare! 1

Can fetch £1,500 on eBay so would’ve thought £2,000 on John’s auction was achievable. Someone had a bargain here. 1
Solidsoul Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 (edited) "Trouble" by The Agents has never been a cheap record. I remember Richard Searling playing it often in Wigan Casino to a great reaction. Always lots of money when seen on lists for as long as I can remember. So I think worth buying at that price in that condition! Edited December 16, 2021 by D9 Ktf

Someone had a bargain here. i bit on that last auction got caught up in the bidding frenzy - ducked out when it got to £1300 when i realised there were 3 lines open. i managed to secure one for £950 a few months later 1

The whole deal must have looked a bit dodgy as went met in an underground car park in Leeds with him holding a wad of cash and me rifling through 45's stashed in my boot. 2

I bought one off Pat, really clean copy. Not sure of the year but would guess 94/95.

The one I sold him was near mint and came from John at the Bowl. I moved to Huddersfield in '93 and sold quite a few bits to Pat around 94/95 1
Dobber Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 I actually got a mint agents-trouble off jm’s set sale list around 5 years ago for 400 quid!
Mal C Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 (edited) Got a copy of the Worzels "The Combine Harvester" last week, very happy with that... so good it would probably never make Manships auction... Edited December 17, 2021 by Mal C 1
