Pete S Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 This is great but I don't know what the vocal track is.
vaultofsouler Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 This is great but I don't know what the vocal track is. link Pete.... been reliably informed the "vocal" is Alesia Keys "You Don't Know My Name" by my 14 yr old daughter ....
Sebastian Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 How unnecessary. "Oliver's Army" and "You Don't Know My Name" are both fantastic tunes on their own. What a waste of time and effort.
vaultofsouler Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Tell her she rules mate link Can't do that mate.... she "used" to sing along to NS in my car upto about 2 yr ago but now just "scowls" at me just wanting her "new stylee R&B" CD's on.... some of which ain't bad I have to say but can't let on ....

Sebastian Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 (edited) Totally disagree. I have no problems with sampling different things and making up new tunes of it. But these two tunes DON'T go together well at all. The vocal doesn't match the rhythm in many places and it sounds forced. "You Don't Know My Name" which in its original form samples Main Ingredient's "Let Me Prove My Love To You" is a great piece of work. This mash-up sounds very, very bad to my ears.
