1. Here's a lovely Chicago twofer from the great Bunky Sheppard's own label by the Sheppards themselves. The Lowrider tune here is a lovely group harmony effort "I'm not wanted", and for good measure it's coupled with a super crossover tune which has largely been ignored in "Your Love has got a hole in it". This is a store stock copy in NM condition at £20 SOLD

2. Here's an oddball rarity from Barbados of all places by Lionel Able and The Mischievous Guys, which surfaced a couple of years ago and is now in demand stateside among the Lowrider fraternity. 'Lonely Man' is a typical local label release with sparse backing, but has that sort of hypnotic quality. The copies I've seen previous have been in very poor condition like most Caribbean 45's. This one is a nice Ex copy at £25 SOLD

3. Nothing much can be said about the Diplomats who recorded many a fine tune which collectors seek. This tune cut for NY's Dynamo label is up there for me as one of their very best and 'I got the Kind of Love' is quite rightly now getting recognition on the Lowrider, Group soul and Sunday Session scenes. 4. The COD's were one of Chicago's finest groups and had a slew of terrific records on the Kellmac label. Here's a great 'twofer' with the lowrider 'Pretty baby' combined with a pounding Northern tune ' I'm a good guy' which appears on dealer lists at £30. Here is a NM store stock copy for £15
