I was sat with my new friend in Blackpool Towers, who knows much more than me (most do)

He asked me if I knew about this record and laughed saying ask the site and see if they know ?

I had just picked up a copy of Shirley (always loved) and had no idea of this crass record (IMO)(he likes it !!!!)

He said the "Mighty Two is a reference to well known people on the scene Steve Underwood and New York is funny too."

I am intrigued and if it has been covered before please direct me

Here we go

Each to their own, I suppose, but that's way too weak for my liking.

In fact, based on what I've just heard, I'm now impelled to consider this French 'cover version' in a much more positive light!

As they say "I've heard worse" and it looks like all the world on on the balcony!

I picked up this monstrosity years ago for about a quid because I hoped that the few tracks I wanted on CD were original recordings(Darrell Banks, Holidays etc) the rest obviously were Simon Soussan and others remakes. The one that I questioned was the Helena Ferguson. I didn't believe at the time it was genuine.

I only hope the Soul Fox didn't profit from my purchase!

I'm sorry, that Helena Furguson is absolutely awful. had the singer heard the original before they recorded it?
