Guest Posted September 21, 2003 Posted September 21, 2003 Biggest 70's sound at the moment downunder in Oz is a fantastic female version of Lew Kirton's Heaven In the Afternoon being played by George Double O Soul. Its covered up at the moment but it was released on a major 70s label and is believed to be the original version. Can anyone help to let me know who the artist is and what is the label ????
Guest Posted October 16, 2003 Posted October 16, 2003 i think the record you're looking for is the original version, on the Joel Diamond LP "Experience" LP from the late 1970s. The female singer is Lotti Golden. The label is Casablanca. Mr Diamond is on the cover and looks like a cross between Michael Bolt-on and Steve Martin! Soul On, Dudes
Guest Posted October 17, 2003 Posted October 17, 2003 The Joel Diamond version also came out on a Casablanca 45. Unfotuneately I chanced buying a copy on Gemm, it's CRAP.Joel Diamond 45.
