Dave Rimmer Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 www.deadog.com A mixture I would say. There are definitely some genuine CD releases from genuine record companies on there, but there are also some rather dodgy looking compilations.
Soul-slider Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 (edited) www.deadog.com Most look like re-issues to me, i.e legal second copies approved by the owners of label/artists. some good stuff though Edited February 8, 2007 by Soul-Slider
Guest Lady Maverick Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Thanks...I was interested in them, but they kinda looked like homemade CDs to me...
Peter99 Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 The cover of the Dance Floor Classics 1 looks remarkably like the cover from the old RCA compilation Dancing at the Go Go - which had a completely different track listing. Peter

Peter Actually the name of the old RCA compilation was Jumping at the Go Go - it was a long time ago! Peter
Glyn Williams Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 the cover to volume 2 was also an old compilation - got it somewhere just cant remember off hand - think it was a destiny release - the record collector or something??

You're absolutely right. I think it was a Destinty release - again different track listing. The "original" had Arin Demain - Silent Treatment on it, and I think Rules by aaaaargh - forgot the artist!
Guest Lady Maverick Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Hmmm...I think I will steer clear of these!

Guest Leigh J Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 You're absolutely right. I think it was a Destinty release - again different track listing. The "original" had Arin Demain - Silent Treatment on it, and I think Rules by aaaaargh - forgot the artist! Gil Blanding
Peter99 Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Gil Blanding Yep - Gill Blanding! Now these two cracking tunes that you don;t hear much these days - Rules and Silent Treatment. Did it also have that wonderful sam track included - Blue Sharks - These Things Will keep Me Loving you?>
