(Vinyl issues of this anthem are nearly ten a penny, west coast styrene only turns up when the Northern Lights are spotted in Devon! A lovely copy all round, just the feintest hint of feedback on the run in and ring wear on the label)

Sam & Bill - I’ll try - Decca 32413 Ex £30

(Northern R&B, fabulous duo and better looking on stock copy, a little edge lift does not affect play)

Vibrations - Cause you’re mine - Epic 10418 Ex £200 SOLD

(Ever popular powerhouse dancer, light label wear)

Percy Stone - Chained - Grapevine 132 WD M- £30

(Hard on original RAM label, and this one of only 50 demo only copies on the Grapevine 2000 series)

Barons of Soul - You need love - Grapevine 155 M- WD £225 SOLD

(No one selling, but you’ve only got to hear the track to understand why, imperious vocals and musical arrangement, previously unreleased example of perfect Northern to my ears, how did this ever not make it to a label when it was recorded. A recent auction piece for Mr M that did very well)

Eloise Laws - Love factory - Music Merchant 1013 Ex £200 SOLD

(Sublime femme crossover, a few light marks at run out, does not affect play, very minor writing on label)

Mary Saxton - Take me heart / Sad eyes - Quality 1921 M- £525

(Canadian only release of this excellent double sider)

Ronnie McCain - This time I’m gone - Triode 116 M- £400 SOLD

(Amazing track, the one I keep replaying using the CD repeat function, a top copy - condition, condition, condition)

Maxine Brown - Let me give you my loving - Wand 1128 Ex £130

(Such an uplifting track, which has become very popular, labels show some light wear)

Ruby Andrews - Just loving you - Zodiac 1010 VG+ £170 SOLD

(Like Eloise its another superb femme crossover side. Surface and label show wear, but whilst it looks Vg+ as many copies do, it plays Ex at least, hard to detect anything rising above clear and distinct playback)
