I still love seeing the British labels though. They still have a place in my collection, but they are just so hard to find nowadays. Good that you and others are still collecting these Treasures from the U.K. Edited February 8, 2007 by 45cellar

45cellar Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Allright Roger I have collected both now from more or less the same day I started collecting. Hi Mel If a see a British Label, I still pounce if the funds are there, but mainly stick to Imports. The PRIME Label is the same as the Yellow one in The Twisted Wheel Story (One More Time) CD, I don't know if my copy is a DEMO, or a Label colour variation.

Hi Oh I can well believe it, the Title "Barefootin In Chinatown" was one of the titles I remember from the early 70's. This I believe is the shortened title. currently £30 (Manships) £20 Stock Copy. I never got one at the time, I recently picked this up for a few dollars. A nice early sound.

45cellar Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 (edited) ] I remember reading about The Wheel closing just after I'd started buying Blues & Soul on a regular basis, however I'd heard Bobby Wells (on the white re-issue) at a local pub disco... Still love it to bits, and have maybe come to appreciate these period gems even more in recent years! (How I wish I'd tracked down more of them when I had the chance - but then don't we all...!) I've still got a soft spot for UK labels I must admit. I think it's a generational thing... Hi Mel Love to see scans like these, Thanks for posting. Edited February 9, 2007 by 45cellar
