Tony Owens - I Need I Need Your Love (Soulin’) Vg+ (as with most copies slight water damage to label, see image below) £120

The original and best version of this Issac Bolden composition that is probably best known by The Philharmonics. Owens original is a gritty deep with a beat lowrider dagger that is both rarer and in more demand than it’s better known counterpart. As with most copies there is some water damage to the label and despite visually grading at Vg++ there is slight hiss (pressing fault) that is barely audible (listen to a clip below), priced accordingly.

Wendy Lynn - Try Me (King Demo) Mint- £35 Sold 

Before anyone asks no it doesn’t have ‘I Remember’ on the flip as demos are double sided. However, this is THE version of this James Brown composition (yes it really is better than JB’s take), have a listen below. Lovely condition and not a common 45 by any stretch of the imagination.

His best 45 by a country mile. Gorgeous lowrider with enormous crossover potential, being picked up by one or two forward thinking UK DJs so expect this currently cheap 45 to sky rocket once it becomes more widely known. Get it now, in lovely condition, for next to nothing.

Valdons - Whatcha Gonna Do/Stop Wait A Minute (Secret Stash Yellow First Issue) £25 Sold 

First (yellow)press from 2013 of these two previously unissued monsters. ‘Stop’ needs no real introduction having been a massive play since it’s release 8 years ago and has been floor filler ever since. Flip is lowrider heaven that has passed many people by thanks to the focus on ‘Stop’, well worth a listen!
