‘Break That Rule’ was an early Stafford monster that still has plenty of mileage left  in it, but it’s the flip that’s on everyone’s wants list currently and superb slab of late ‘70s southern crossover soul that sounds so much earlier. Hard one.

Benton (Brenton) Wood - I Want Love (Brent) Vg++ £100

Lowrider heaven, last one I had I could’ve sold ten times over. Brenton (first release misspelled as ‘Benton) Wood’s finest 45, highly sought after in the US by lowrider collectors and, as with so many of these records, now equally sought after by collectors here and on the continent. Perfect crossover sound and very hard to find in nice clean condition.
