Dear friends, I am incredibly sorry, but I forgot about this damn auction.
I hope you do not define me by this moment of weakness and it will not harm the German-British friendship 😀

Has anyone been paying attention and can post all the daily updated results?

Thanks
See you next week
Z

i certainly understand that aspect of it..the guys who buy these records certainly must have been off scene or not on it in the first place.. from my point of view who would have the heart to pay say

He had Freddie Chavez listed on his mailshot yesterday which had a current bid of £3,315 but I couldn't find it on his site and it doesn't seem to appear on his latest email ... is it a case of buyer remorse ... as that bid was twice the highest of Popsike?

.... very sharp! ... I was looking forward to see on here what it eventually went for, but as you say ... We'll Never Know Why'

Ted Taylor 790 quid jeez.

some fools have been parted from their money again tonight…..

Freddie Chavez was last week or the week before

Ted Taylor is a common record so baffled why it has doubled in price. George Kirby is a way better record but surprisingly sold for less than Ted Taylor. Durettes/ Perfections pretty much tripled in price but two decent sides for the money.

It only cost half that to see him live in las Vegas 2018....and he still knew the words:)

It cost a weeks wages in 77.

Must be some good jobs out there today.

Sold mine years ago . Only payed a few quid for it , don't think it's worth anywhere near that price to be honest

its an easy £150 right or wrong

Dave. I would have thought £120 . But we all value things differently.  Someone obviously liked it enough to pay the price on John's auction site

Do you like any records very much, because you seem to have negatives for most that get mentioned!

You're right it was in the 28/04/2021 auction ... strange it was included in the mailshot!

When you been on the scene as long as Steve and seen overplayed oldies fetching crazy prices it is mind boggling these and total agree but not rare and plenty of copies but it's only an opinion.

i certainly understand that aspect of it..the guys who buy these records certainly must have been off scene or not on it in the first place.. from my point of view who would have the heart to pay say 2 or 3 grand for something they sold for a few 100 20+ years ago.. and most records today say under 1k would be way cheaper in the 80s or 90s and would have picked them up back then.. if they have got the heart to do that they are of course mad or now just have money to burn😅

There's loads of records I'll can't bring myself to buy because they were so common at nighters in the 80's. Valantino' s is a good example. Few others like George Kirby, are relatively cheap.

Whilst searching through some of my old lists and sales from 76 I found a letter from someone who bought my George Kirby for 80 , that's pence not pounds. So Russ Bowers you certainly got a bargain.
