The Jean Carter Sunflower was Sidney Barnes' label I believe? Thats a nice clean copy, want to swap it for 2 battered ones?

patti williams because i love him is a great female dancer , only ever seen it on a white demo though

The Jean Carter label was from Detroit whilst Bobby Taylor's was based in LA. Always sorta thought the Andre Scott one was from Chicago?

CERTAINLY GOT THE CHICAGO CREDITS BUT I THOUGHT IT WAS LA ,DONT KNOW ,CAN ANYONE CLARIFY.

thats the best copy ive seen, as already said most copies are not of the best quality

as mine is, but does play well, am i right in believing that there was a limited press of 500 copies

from this, mr barnes own label

There are two distinctly different Sunflower labels as pointed out in other posts.

Ones that spring to mind on the west Coast label are the Bobby Taylor, Patti Williams and there are at least 3 by a group called Storm.

Levine used play one of these Storm 45's in the early 70's - version of Sweet Happiness (the Newby & Johnson record) - was a fairly popular record back then albeit a bit poppy - same time as Spiral Staircase, Poppies, etc if you get the drift - I can even remember him spinning it at Wigan.

Pretty sure I've got 2 copies of this somewhere if you want one - demo only I think - its a cheapie !
