IST ONE COVERED AS SKY HIGH

Got a feeling it turned out to be a british 'easy listening' thing on A&M or Page 1 something like that but I could be getting it wrong - Was it 78ish ?

Mark, Is Dancin on the same tape as the Honey Cone track from 78 that we finally sorted a few years back? If so I have just got some tapes from a friend who also taped that night and if I remember correctly my tape only had a short snippit, as he was taping next to me there is a good chance there will be more. If it is the same tape let me know and I'll check it out tomorrow.

Pete Smith and Dave Holt are the two guys with the knowledge.  No disrespect to yourself Mark. Neither or on here as you know.

Guy Hennigan impressed me with his knowledge on this sort of thing!

Your memory is good - He was a weekly regular for Ken Cox long before 78...Years ago he joined in a discussion on here that drifted onto his move from Wigan to St Ives (in 76 I think).

While we are talking Wigan obscurities there was a girly group record about leaving school with the line " I picked up my pencils' in it being played around the same time as the instrumental in 78. Its been driving me mad trying to find out what it is for years. It was a bit 'pop', so I probably won't like it if I hear it again 😆

No, but a similar style record.....I think it was a Keith spin, so probably British again (?), a bit more poppy in the Karen Young, Ann dAndrea style ...Was the instrumental we are trying to track down one of his ?...I'm thinking Keith or Alan Rhodes ?

...........Same sort of voice as Prince Ella who recorded with the Sidney Jones (on Prince). Sidney produced Albert George & a couple of others on Soul Time
