Hi H thanks for that i have just picked up a issue on the multi coloured Tuff label

never seen one before and i cant find anyone who has..

Regards Ian

Reference Tuff 419

You're having a laugh, that's surely been coloured in, hasn't it?

Can you give me the deadwax details and vinyl type? Any info would be good.

BUT this coloured label does NOT fit into that series of release #s latest number I can find with the coloured logo is 411, earliest # I can find for the plain yellow release is # 414

Plus the text layout is IDENTICAL to the repro.. at the moment I'm not convinced.

Hi John nope it aint been colored in the color is underneath the text its a really strange one

never seen it before sound quality is ex-- type of vinyl not sure what you mean its not a heavy vinyl

more like my issue of Bobby Treetop. In fact its very similar to the B Treetop Tuff 417 issue but multi instead of plain yellow

When i first saw it i thought the same but after lookin closer i could see it had not been colored in

i paid quite a lot for it in decent trades off a old mate of Dave Withers and he,s a honest guy

in the run out there is 419-A Scratched in.But like i said ALL THE TEXT IS OVER THE YELLOW BROWNY RED/ GREEN BACKGROUND........... Not sure how long he had it for but hes been collecting for donkeys years

and had loads of unusual stuff when i went around to his gaff few weeks ago and some really nice rare

original 45,s that cost him next to nothin years ago ggrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Give me a ring at home when you have time John and i will fill in any more details

Regards Ian

sent u my phone nu

Kev Barrett has been to look at it he,s a printer with 30 yrs experience he put it under

a mircroscope to look at it ..He said the back ground label has been printed ie the colors have been printed

he then said the tex ie the Tuff logo title ect ect ect had been printed and his opinion was that the 45

was original Kev is very knowledgable about northern hes the guy who bought the stock of WSAY

radio station while he was livin in Toronto.. Very interestin piece that ive not seen before ?

What we really need is the deadwax matrix the width of the deadwax, type of vinyl etc.

if it is genuine it is without doubt the first copy i've seen

PS just pulled Tuff # 409 of the shelves I'm afraid your "Little Joe" coloured label is nothing like it.

the "real" coloured TUFF label has 2 white stars, 3 red stars, 3 firework type affects on the label + 2 music notes in black. i'll scan and send up..

the comparison with coloured label " Little Joe" ..is frankly a mile away from looking the "real deal" but i've been wrong before and would love vit to be true.. but i'm now even more doubtful than i was earlier..

just enlarged your scan, disappointed to say the deadwax matrix is 419-A AZ identical to the bootleg..??

Ian,

i",m havin major doubts about it"

Most important is what is the deadwax matrix is, width of deadwax, vinyl type (thick, thin, bevelled edge, flat?) not the label..which obviously doesn't look anything like the coloured example i'vesent up.

The deadax matrix from your scan is identical to the repro.

eeeer why do you need a mircoscope? am I missing something?
