Male Vocals, Or Female?

Go with me on this....

If you had to choose, desert island scenario or whatever, and the choice was male vocals or female? Which would you go for?

Personally, I guess I have a general preference for male vocals over female.

Yeah, I know, it's a dumb question, would never happen, how can you ignore Linda Jones, Gladys Knight, Aretha blah blah blah, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has a particular preference?

I do love a lot of the female vocals but if it was a choice of one or the other i would go for men as they do have a bit more grit to them and a fair few do sound female in thier own way anyway if you know what i mean unsure.gif

On balance I'd have to say I prefer female vocals.

Male vocals for me.... without doubt.

Not something i had really thought about until the recent daily themed sounds thing started.

When it came to the turn of the ladies.. i realised i had a severe lack there of... surprised me a bit actually.

My collection is about 99% male vocals, was thinking about this the other day, i think "i really should get some femme stuff", but it just does'nt do it for me.

I do have a few m/f duets and some female backing vocals, but there is still so many wants i ain't going to change!

How could anyone choose, for example, between Aretha Franklin and Al Green???

I don't think I could ...and no, I'm not bisexual.

LOL well thats a balanced post then! Aretha, Linda, Cissy, Dee Dee, Doris Troy, Debbie Taylor, Kim Weston, Barbara Lewis...nails down a blackboard eh ? Who HAVE you been listening to cookie?? :P

If I HAD to choose, I'd choose not to listen to music at all, or just instrumental versions !

I would like to be stuck on a desert island with Ms Judy Street (and a years supply of Viagra etc..)..................................I could always take a CD of Barbara to listen to while i preform my depraved and illegal acts of gross indecency upon an unwitting Ms Street who by now is totally under my evil perverted spell and will do anything (and love everything) that I command her to do ! whistling.gif

Have you seen her on the cover of the Tina Mason LP on manships auction? .............................

Or is it just me? :wicked: ..........
