i think it is probably Butlins Skegness week-enders but i wouldnt know the numbers at its best

 

Butlins skegness. 

According to someone it was 37,000 at the casino one Saturday 

Butlitz is several halls at the same time.

In one room its hard to imagine more than a couple of thousand.

I was 14 and not allowed to go  by my Mum and Dad. A few if the older Widnes lads went. I had to wait until I was 16 before I managed a nighter at the Casino.  Never looked back.

Was there with my brother it was an old tram/bus depot as was already stated it was a shithole dusty concrete floors, cold toilets were worse than Wigan’s, don’t know how many were there but didn’t seem like 6000 also most of the acts advertised never showed. Possibly the worst nighter I ever attended.

I remember (well partly) going to one 'do' there. Before it started I spent a few hours in the Dragonara Hotel with Chris Burton,  Keith Minshull and the group - trouble is, I can't remember who they were. Think they were an all girl group.

Can anyone fill in the gaps in my memory?😄

That’s a blast from the past. Dragonara hotel. 

A recent one which is still going is fitzys at king power Leicester. Always a packer 1500 or more but mainly in the motown/crossover room .the northern room loads of room

Leeds Queens Hall was the one I was referring to, over 7000 capacity according to the flyer...

There were two all-nighters held at the Queens Hall, Leeds, as stated is was a huge old tram shed.   Went to both, didn't learn from the first hoping second would have been sorted, it wasn't it was just as bad.

If I remember right , it still seemed empty in parts , depended where you were in the building , probably one of the crapest nights of my life 😂👍
