Carstairs-I saw you there

Is it the Carstairs?

Was it ever released?

If so what label?

Is it rare?

And what's it's value.

Many Thank's

Wally Francis

Not sure, but you might mean The Appointments - I Saw You There on De-lite think this was covered as The Carstairs - might be wrong, if so ignore me

The Appointments are supposedly the Carstairs albeit a different lead to Really Hurts Me Girl.

Cheers Chalky - didn't know that. Was it played covered as the Carstairs though?

Connection to the Carstairs is presumably confirmed as I understand that "Keep away " by the Appointments is supposedly the same track as " I saw you there" and that it came out on Redd Coach.

Keep Away is the flip to I Saw You There on Delite and as you said also released on Redd Coach. Doesn't confirm they are the Carstairs but fuels the rumour I suppose.

Yep,that's the one, someone told me it was The Carstairs,so has anybody got one to sell ? and is it rare ?

rares as hens teeth, last one I saw was around £1500, I'd expect double that now. Sam recently got one but can't remember what it went for...was it on JM auction?

As Chalky says "Keep away" is a different track to "I saw you there". "Keep away" is just about OK, bit nowhere near "I saw you there". which was originally a Wigan spin in 79/80.

Is there anything to substanciate this Carstairs story beyond the fact that both groups were on Gene Redd labels, some seven years apart?

Yeah, got it now - not the same track, but on the flip of the Delite one.

Confused of Bolton.
