Both great dancers and both SN plays for me. Recommended. The Groove: Love Its Getting Better (Wand) 30 euros Brilliant feelgood Crossover Northern. Highly recommended. Etta James: Tell Mama / I'd Rather Go Blind (Cadet) 15 euros Brilliant double sider from the woman voted Dublin's Favourite Female singer. A side is a cracking RnB tinged dancer while the flip is classic deep!! Recommended McFadden + Whitehead: Ain't No Stopping Us Now (PIR) 10euros Essential 70's anthem. Jackie Moore: Both Ends Against The Middle (Atlantic) 20 euros Great old 100 club 70's spin. Great flip too. Parliaments: I Can Feel The Ice Melting (Revilot) 5 euros Classic Detroit Northern. Looks rough but plays brill. Martha Reeves + The Vandelas: In And Out of My Life / Your Love Makes It All Worthwhile (Gordy) 15 euros or (Tamla Motown Canada) 20euros Great Motown double-sider. A side is a great crossover midtempo builder that's always been one of my favourite of hers. The B-side is a more typical Motown dancer that has had spins at Sleepless Nights and was even featured on one of the CDs. Brilliant Spinners: It's A Shame (VIP) 15euros Biggest re-activated oldie of the lasy 2 years..........Sleepless Nights Anthem. Dusty Springfield: What's It Gonna Be (Philips) 20euros***Ciara*** Fantastic Northern oldie. For my money as good as the rarer Susan Barrett version Edwin Starr: Love (The Lonely Peoples Prayer) (Motown WDJ) 15euros Superb crossover dancer from the man voted Irelands favourite male singer in last years poll. SN plays for me and also for Steve Thomas a couple of years back in the rowing club if my memory serves me right (I'm sure he'll correct me if im wrong!!!!!!!!!) Recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Edwin Starr: I Have Faith In You (Ric Tic) £15 Awesome Northen Oldie..........Essential. Every Collection has to have one.Simple as that!!!!!!!!!! Edwin Starr: 25 Miles (Gordy) 15 euros Classic Motown dancer. Still sounds great Supremes: You've Been So Wonderful To Me (Motown) 15 euros Just about the biggest Motown dancer this year at SN. Plays for me. Superb!! A Must Have!!!!!!!!!!! Supremes: You've Been So Wonderful To Me (Tamla Motown) 20 euros As above only on a lovely Canadian issue Supremes: Nothing But Heartaches (Motown) 10 euros Another great uptempo dancer from the girls Supremes: He's All I Got (Motown) 20 euros Just about the biggest Motown floorfiller of the last 6-7 years and still sounding fantastic Supremes: Stoned Love (Motown) 10 euros Classic Motown. Think this was a Dice bar spin for Danny if the old grey cells are working right. Supremes: Time Changes Things (Motown) 15euros Even though I alsways loved their hits I must admit I've really had a re-evaluation of the Supremes over the last few years. Some of their overlooked stuff really is exceptional....He's All I Got, You've Been So Wonderful To Me, Will This Be The Day, Whisper You Love Me Boy etc........and here is another criminally overlooked gem of a dancer. This time we get that raw early sound that's just perfect for today. Highly recommended. Supremes: Reflections/Going Down For The Third Time (Motown) 10 euros Great Motown double-header Supremes: Baby Love/ Ask Any Girl (Stateside) 5euros Pop classic b/w great underated midtempo. Joe Tex: All the Heaven A Man Really Needs (Dial) 20 euros His best IMHO.......sublime 70's. One of my favourite 70's tunes in fact. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mark Valentino: Walking Alone (Swan wdj) 15 euros Great Midtempo Northern. Usually sells for around £15Sterling. Dee Dee Warwick: When Love Slips Away (Mercury) 20 euros Brilliant midtempo. Same (and as good as IMO) as Margo and Marvettes at a fraction of the price. Recommended. Dionne Warwick: Reach Out For Me (Scepter/Wand) 10euros Great version Mary Wells: You Beat Me To The Punch (Motown) 10euros Great indemand Motown midtempo. Mary Wells: I'm Learning / He's a Lover (20th Cent.) 20 euros Superb post-Motown double-header. I'm Learning is a brilliant under-rated Northern dancer that should get more spins while the flip is a cracking mid-tempo. The Whispers: Needle In A Haystack (Soul Clock) 15euros Top notch crossover dancer that was an old Soul Heaven spin for me and is now getting plays at some smart venues. Flip is great too!!!!!!!!!! The Webs: Tomorrow (Popside) 20 euros Highly rated (and rightly so) midtempo group Soul Al Wilson: Show and Tell (Bell) or (Rocky Road) 10 euros Quite simply one of the greatest 70's soul records. A must have record Jackie Wilson + Linda Hopkins: Say I Do (Brunswick) 15euros Great early RnB thats had a few recent plays. Jackie Wilson: Higher + Higher / I'm The One To Do It (Brunswick) 15 euros The greatest pop song of all-time (IMO) b/w classic Northern giving pound for pound one of the greatest double-siders ever Brenton Wood: Lovey Dovey Kind Of Love (Double Shot) 15 euros Hat's off to Mark T for championing this great midtempo crossover dancer.
