The Tempest Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 Great record but seems to command a high price for a new release ! Anybody know how many copies are out there and the story behind the band ?

Gold Band Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 Never heard it, is it the same guys who recorded on Polydor? Are both sides good or just one track? Kirsty
The Tempest Posted February 4, 2021 Author Posted February 4, 2021 For some strange reason not letting me cut and paste from popsike ! So if you go on from November 2020 sale - 23 bids - just over £400 - sound clips to both sides - yep it’s good ! So somebody’s buying it ! 1
The Yank Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 Discogs has this New World as being a different group to the Polydor New World. The site also says the 45 is on the EARS label (Expert Audio Repair Service) and has a link to their web site. When you click on the web site, it says the domain name is for sale ?

Ears might be connected to this ? https://www.discogs.com/label/265991-Eastern-Artists-Recording-Studio This is connected to Bill Galanty who worked with Gloria Gaynor and she was on Polydor, so could be same group IMO Someone can ask him https://billgalanty.com/about-me/ Edited February 5, 2021 by Blackpoolsoul
tgwsg Posted April 6, 2021 Posted April 6, 2021 Mysterious it is. Hell of a Record! I paid a lot for it ...
Billy Jo Jim Bob Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 I think the story is that Numero pressed it for one of the promotional events (as they did with the Outa-Sights) something to do with Japan I read. Then Dave Thorley asked them for any spare copies and sold them over here. It does go for a tidy sum if you can get one. Bit of a tune tho'
