Ed ok so where was that played then? the later cover was weak enough to my ears but surely no 'proper' northern venue would have allowed the herman h version anywhere near the decks.. am right yep?

According to Manship...about the Henry Boatwright version: a lead-singer with SOUL BROTHERS INC. Henry Boatwright offers up a forgotten Cleethorpes Pier classic.. She has tastes though with the tunes you mention. Jimmy Fraser is one of those you had to be around at the time it was played records to like , just like some of the Casino stuff that has been mentioned 1

Ed So had to be around 78/79/80 - I remember it being sold in record bars and maybe 1st hour set or even setting up system set - just because it was different or the same as HB - it’s 1968 so may have been played at the wheel
