For the 1st spotlight of 2021, we're heading to Virginia, USA & focusing on this incredible label that released some amazing 45's.

Join us on dublab.com (2pm US PST, 10pm UK GMT) as we're spotlighting the incendiary catalog of;

PINEWOOD ("Best On Wax")

Operating out of Norfolk Virginia, and owned by Bill Johnson, the Pinewood label operated exclusively from 1968 til 1977. Their output trod the soulful boards with proficiency, ranging from raw funk & gritty soul, to sweet soul harmony's & quartet recordings. Their body of work is a milestone between the major labels of Peacock, Savoy, Songbird etc, & the small independent self released 'vanity' labels. It's an essential ground to tread for the avid gospel soul collector.....all the sub genres are covered here, so we've gotcha covered, whatever your particular penchant should be.

Once again, over 40 7" singles are loaded in the crates.

We're running deep into this amazing body of work....pull up a chair, grab a pen....it's music you might not have heard before!
