Moved from Derby to London a good few years back and as far as I know is still there.

went down Brixton Fridge I believe, now back in Derby................dont think active on the scene

Not really aware of a dj called Hector, maybe before my time, but about 15 years ago, I was picking up lots of nice US 7s from the various Record and Tape Exchanges in London, mostly 70s Mecca-type things, that had 'Hector' on the sleeves. Nice handwriting! I've always wondered whose they had been. Wonder if its the same fella...

Was down Kings Road Landan town,many moons ago,he was spinning tunes for the customers in a basement clothes store.

And also in Derby, Hector played the Derbyshire Yeoman pub (now a big MaccyD's). A sunday night session if my memory serves me right to round the weekend off.

 

I think Hector is back in Derby now - remember an article in the local press. I remember him well from the R.E.Cords basement record shop too.
