Zanetti Posted December 2, 2020 Author Posted December 2, 2020 also the W.E.L.F.A.R.E. disk has increased extremely. If I remember correctly: 650-700 in the last year, I think.
The Yank Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Did anyone see what the Wigan Casino 25th Anniversary box set went for ?

Frankie Crocker Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Christmas comes early to John Moneyship... Sinceres doubled in price. Kenny Shepard a similar increase. Si-Berians trebled in price. Johnny Summers rather disappointing for a good, rare record. Overall, a nice bag of quality items that should please the new owners. 1

I don't know how true this is! I was told that an USA dealer has a box full of mint Johnny Summers "I Can't let You Go" on red Yorktown. He will only sell them them all together and will not split them up. But the price is too high to make it worth buying them all! Also The Sinceres was about £150 for many, years! That’s what I paid for my Sinceres but I’ve not really seen many copies up for sale the past few years and the flip is sought after by the sweet soul lot, so demand for both sides

I can’t recall seeing a red label Johnny Summers for sale before. It was on a Millionaires CD and Tim Brown’s rarest list about 20 years ago. The silver label alternate version has cropped up plenty of times in the last few years. If someone has a box of 25, and this is a possibility given their scarcity, the seller would be better off letting them go one at a time. I have not seen any evidence that a hoard might exist so let’s wait and see... 1

I had 4 from A1 on Melrose in Los Angeles. Great warehouse, now sadly gone. Got me into collecting Pzazz by number. Thankfully I kept a copy - just amazed at what the one in question sold for. Great record anyway 1

They were all M- as well so from some kind of qty of stock. I hardly ever saw a silver one during the same period. I paid 150 for a red label from a U.K. collector who had qty.
Stanley Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 there were box counts found in the states early 2000 when i was over there of i can,t let go . 1

Sixteen copies of the red label version compared to twelve of the silver variant on Popsike. I was blind to the red label sales but have been watching the silver ones trickling out as I’ve been after this version for a while; not got a copy yet as the price has remained higher than it should be for a record that crops regularly. 1

Andy Rix Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 Shocked about the Sinceres 45 on Pzazz ... I played the ‘Girl I Love You’ side as a C/U in the late 80s as ‘I’m So Happy That You’re Mine’ ... no dance floor interest so I dropped it quickly and sold it on for £20 ... a £17 profit ! I never listened to the flip side ... is it a tune ? Andy 3
Tomangoes Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 A few groups on the tube relating to the "sincerers" Are they blue eyed...sounds it to me. I cant help thinking its a typical throwback tune from when such as len jewel showed up. It didn't make the first cut, and now because its alegidly rare, its rated. Just saying.. Ed

Shouldn't it be "Is it a good record or not"? For example H.B. Barnum wrote, arranged and produced "What". Everything about it was down to him and all Judy Street did was sing it. Anyone with a good singing voice could have done that! Edited December 4, 2020 by Halogen 1

Of course its personal choice. The lead singer is just not quite there for me unfortunately. I could listen to lou Johnson or Roy Hamilton singing Burt Bs reach out for me all day, but I draws the line at Mick Jagger singing dancing in the street...if you get my drift. Ed
