Guest eedeecee Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 (edited) hi guys, does anybody know how to ID the original 45 from a possible boot? the price of this 45 seems a bit on the low side... and 'tiny hiss at the start' seems like a styrene pressing?? Is it worth bidding on this one?? https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=300072514189 thanks eedeecee Edited January 24, 2007 by eedeecee
Pete S Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Don't think there is a boot - most copies you see are Canadian as it was a hit there, orange label black lettering...not a rare record anyway but that looks like a nice copy
Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 A work colleague who collects everything on Sue says that there's a legit West Coast (Monarch) pressing of this, and this is that. (He also says, by the way, that not every Sue record has a West Coast pressing, so it's wise not to automatically assume they do...) As Pete says, it's not that rare really - at least, not in the overall scheme of things! - so there has never really been the demand there for a boot, anyway. Stunning recrd, in any event. Every home should have one! TONE
Sebastian Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Has anyone perhpaps got a copy of Jackie Shane's "Stand Up Straight And Tall" 45 on Modern for sale? Please, PM me if so.
