Posted January 23, 200718 yr I have a question for a friend. Can anyone who has, or at least has access to a label scan" of "The Winds Kept Laughing" by Betty Turner on Crescent, please let me know who is credited as composer/s? Any help greatly appreciated - thanks! Gene
January 23, 200718 yr The songwriters were two members of the group The Cascades, of "Rhythm Of the Rain" fame. Wonder if they ever did a version on an LP? TONE
January 23, 200718 yr I've been in contact with Lenny Green from the credits. He also wrote 'Rythmn of the Rain' and some other tunes for Betty. And no he doesn't have any copies for sale (anymore lol) Edited January 23, 200718 yr by ged parker
January 23, 200718 yr Author Many thanks Ged, Tony and John! I thought one of them was John Gummoe from the Cascades, so this confirms it. Much appreciated. Would be interesting to find out if the Cascades did a version on LP or somewhere! The Cascades also have a pretty amazing connection to "Why You Wanna Treat Me The Way You Do" by The Hyperions, as its producer, Perry Botkin Jr., was also the producer behind the Cascades' material on Warner Bros.
