I seem to recall it being a John Vincent tip (in Frank Elsons column) when he dj'd at Wigan - but I can't say as I ever actually heard it played.

Think he mentioned the Charmaines "Keep on searching" in the same list.

The Adorables WAS played out at the Casino - I had it on a live tape that I got from Richard Domar ( now there’s a blast from the past ! ) in the mid eighties - I was too young for Wigan but got the last year at Stafford  / Loughborough and tracked a copy down there after hearing it on the tape - although the year / date of it escapes me currently

Remember Richard Searling saying on his BBC Manchester show some time ago, can't remember what venue he said he was at, but he played the Adorables and it cleared the floor. He ended up giving the record away. Likewise, i would never part with it.

I bought one back in the 70's Wigan days, wouldn't have paid more than 50p for it, sure it was getting played back then ... Golden World records were like cheap ballast in the sales boxes in those days, 50p each or 3 for a quid 😉

Another copy that isn't getting sold

Think you Will find it was spun at the torch first, remember a old friend from Notts telling me it was spun there when I was first getting into the scene in 74.
