In all seriousness, this must be selling outside the mainstream Northern collectors norm..so let 'em pay what they think it's worth to them in the same way as I'm sure some people on here have paid lots of money for what to someone outside the Northern scene thinks is a pop record !

Joking apart, if you didn't know that 'Village Of Tears' was a rarish desirable record on the Northern scene, would you give more than sixpence ha'penny for it ?

No she was a hairdresser from birmingham, the show was hosted by quite a few DJs of the time but predominantly Pete Murray and also Keith Fordyce and Brian Matthew (of sounds of the 60s fame). She was part of the studio audience and guest panalist once and the catch phrase "oi'll give it foive" caught on and they gave her a regualr spot. Well so me mam told me :D honest.

Hi Simon

i think you are right about it being played in other circles as my son told me he has heard it played in the nightclub he goes to and the room goes mad when its being played and its a bog standard nightclub that plays all the usual chart and club stuff so must be something to it on that sort of scene as well.
