Popular Post Frankie Crocker Posted September 16, 2020 Popular Post Posted September 16, 2020 Thanks for posting as always. Funny list really. Terry Callier, no surprises, still being chased. Valentines really just a Set Sale record but went for a bit more than the base rate - if it was a commission record, the vendor is no better off. Ambassadors was cheap - I would have paid more. A few oddball sounds to please the discerning collector too. John’s auctions were once an event to marvel at but common records lower the tone a bit. Set Sale items will be snapped up if priced fairly and should not really feature in the Christie's of rare record auctions. Come on John, check the pages in the Priceguide... 4
Lionelonthevinyl Posted September 16, 2020 Posted September 16, 2020 Agreed Frankie...not the most inspiring this week and not much to discuss. Thank you for posting, much appreciated...kind regards....Rob 1

Indeed a good question..... 2018 £2500 Vincent Lapi spent $30000 in making this record and John will make more if he has and sells more copies Shame the LP never got out
Ted Massey Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Allison and Calvin Turner has sold for almost 3 times that price in the past

Ted Massey Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 They are all like that every one I have heard must be a bad pressing I heard Arthur’s at the kings hall and that was just the same 1

Hope you’re well son. This is what happens when sellers learn you’re a millionaire... On a more serious note, is there someone out there with a bundle of these, leaking them out craftily-like, one at a time? It’s a £750 record so I hope you didn’t stump up?
Ted Massey Posted September 18, 2020 Posted September 18, 2020 Ey up I wish I was I’m fine back at ya bud. I was offered another previously at 2400. In fact I don’t rate it at 750 tbh I think the recording makes it a lot less 2

Ted Massey Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 Yep not for me it would be great tune remastered thou 2
