I have just bought what I was hoping is an original Laurie issue copy of Dean Parrish - I'm on my way, but think it might be the 1970's reissue instead. Matrix for the A side is  UK4M-0865 -1-1-1 (p) then a small pr  Can someone tell me please if it's original or not. 

According to discogs, the 70's reissue was stereo and has the following matrix info -

UK4M-0865-1-1-1 PR (etched) 

Original - vinyl , reissue - styrene.

According to a well known price guide (6th edition), there are styrene originals with

the delta #68876 which would make it pressed in November, 1967.

Thank you Gents, it's much appreciated.                                                                                                                                         I will post the single back to the seller and hopefully get a refund.                                                                                            It doesn't help that on Discogs the picture of what should be the original is actually the Laurie reissue. 

   

Is it vinyl or styrene, the photo looks like vinyl and is it a stamp or etched?

As Chalky say's, that looks like a vinyl 45. I'd say original.

That’ll be a west coast press with delta number probably

You are correct- the 45 was released in Nov. '67 and got a positive review in 

Cashbox -
