Soul Shaw Posted July 31, 2020 Posted July 31, 2020 (edited) Who sang ( I need you) played by butch at the 100 club, covered by the signatures, or was it a butch cover Edited August 1, 2020 by Soul Shaw To alter the question 1
Soul Shaw Posted August 1, 2020 Author Posted August 1, 2020 Hi mate ive added a link to the cover atb
Woodbutcher Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 (edited) It's Alan Kitchener's (and Butch's) "Chuck Jackson" acetate ... One's a 10" and one a 7" as I recall , can't remember who has which one ( not that intimate with either chap ... lol ) but Alan had the first one . Absolute dancefloor mayhem and a tune I'd drive a thousand miles to dance to ... luckily my favourite dark red basement's not that far away ... Edited August 1, 2020 by Woodbutcher 3
Soul Shaw Posted August 1, 2020 Author Posted August 1, 2020 Was it covered up as chuck Jackson-I need you atb 1
Woodbutcher Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Can't recall offhand but I think it's uncredited on the labels. @Manfromsoul45s will be able to fill in the details I hope ...
Pga1 Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Hiya mate, it was played as chuck Jackson (as per previous reply) but can't remember title (s). Funny I said to you some years ago, it sounded like ' Dean Parrish ', cheers
Popular Post Chalky Posted August 1, 2020 Popular Post Posted August 1, 2020 It is uncredited and the songwriters and notably New York artists don;'t know either. Its covered as Chuck Jackson but I think it sounds more like Ben E King (compare it with Getting To Me). I don't think the Signatures and this record should ever be mentioned in the same sentence, fcuk a good fanny up they would. 4

Glad you posted this Karl , I nearly typed exactly the same thing but couldn't bring myself to mention the abysmal cover band ...
Sunnysoul Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Stefan Taylor and the Signatures ? File them alongside the Merton Parkas and the Purple Hearts ... 1
