And what about the Cliff Nobles B&W Atlantic demo on a carver, currently at over ONE HUNDRED POUNDS !! WTF !!

£177 with one hour to go! Anyone could have a carver done for a fraction of the price.

What will the winner do with it? It's not like you can show it off anywhere....is it?

In answer to the original question...

What Am I Missing?  The answer is 'a total lack of knowledge and a basic element of research'.  Be grateful that you are missing it as some poor sods are being kippered up right royally and simply aren't doing even the basic modicum of research to help themselves...imho.

There's some real weird stuff going on at the moment. Did anyone notice the carvers with photo copied labels on & advertised as such are attracting silly bids generally? Also, 70s boots fetching more than originals are worth, even though clearly listed as 70s pressing ?...The worlds gone mad

The most scandalous ones I have seen lately are the 100 club anni carvers...It puts me off looking at Ebay lately the amount of terrible bootlegs/carvers whatever you want to call them...

All I can say is a fool and his money are easily parted. Some of these sellers have no morals

I'd say it's the buyers who have no morals...we all know what they're gonna use them for 😒

What's the betting the seller can also offer the 2nd place bidders copies as it only takes a week or 2 to get another carver done for £20 ish and anything over the postage costs and ebay fees is almost free money.

No one seems to be cracking down on them and its easy for anyone with a sound file of a rare tune to get them cut
