I didn't have the pleasure  of meeting you both but my thoughts are with you at this difficult time. The love and special bond you obviously had for each other will never fade.

Oh my goodness Dave, I'm so sorry for the loss of Pete.

I remember you both from the olden days and my heart is hurting for you as I know what a perfect fit you both were.  Would never see one without the other and both of you genuine good guys.

What a lovely tribute you have written.

Sending love and strength to you at this heartbreaking time.

Rest In Peace Dear Peter

Jesus, really sorry to hear this Dave. I knew Pete from the old Pendulum/Torch days, as you know. A nicer bloke you couldn't meet.

Mere words don't begin to describe how you must be feeling. My heartfelt condolences.

Peter, ex-Twisted Wheel, Torch, Mecca and Wigan Casino (member 0267) etc originally from Radcliffe passed away very suddenly (from what is thought to be a pulmonary embolism) aged 67 on Saturday 23 May evening at home as I combed his hair after a shower. He was someone who was there in the background at every key turning point of the scene, but was always self-effacing and careful to avoid the limelight.

We hadn't been out for some years because Pete's health issues had made him more or less housebound, but he remained loved by so many who knew him and he kept in touch with as much as he was able. He retained a deep love of soul, and especially Motown, of which he had an almost unrivalled knowledge, all his life.

After almost 30 years I don't know how I can ever go on without him, he was my saviour and the only one I lived for - I was so lucky to be loved by him.

You struggled so very much with your health that it broke my heart every day - my only I wish is that I could have taken on all your pain - there's no more suffering now my perfect, beautiful, wonderful Peter.

My beautiful friend Pete who I first met way back in 1973. He was my rock and was always there for me as a young 17 year old. Over the years we lost touch then in the 90s at Cala Gran we Met up again, we chatted for hours it was like we had never lost touch. A few years went by yet again. Then we were at a very good friend Jaqui  Bicknells house celebrating her 50th birthday and who was there in the kitchen Pete and Dave who I met for the first time and right away Dave I loved you as I did Pete. I am absolutely heart 💔 for you. Two beautiful Souls together. Hold onto your previous memories Dave as I will. I know it’s going to be hard.  I am always here for you Dave has I know lots of friends will be. RIP Pete gone but you will never be forgotten. Going to miss you my beautiful friend. God bless and much love Janet and Derek 💔xxx
