Pete S Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Some of you will have heard this before but if you haven't, please please please listen, not so much to the record - which is in fact a tremendous version of Otis redding's "Security" - but to the singer. If you didn't know that this wasn't the person it sounds like, you wouldn't believe it. I know that sounds confusing but have a listen and see what I mean. It's definitely not who it sounds like.

Jaco Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 The singer is Doug Gibbons who was an associate of the Rolling Stones and apparently in Australia where this track was popular there was much speculation that the vocalist was Mick Jagger. There is also speculation that Jimmy Page played on the track whilst the Outsiders, Doug Gibbons' band, recorded two Jimmy Page compositions for Decca, again apparently with the participation of Page.
Sanquine Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Just played it and straight away thought it sound's like Mick Jagger... Karen
Sebastian Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Absolute dynamite version! Sounds superb over a big sound system. Wouldn't mind a copy of the 45 myself.
